I love your mare, she's so beautiful, I don't normally favor bay's becuase they are such a common color, but the image is just BRILLIANT!!!

I must say I'm a little shy now, after someone took one of my dog shots and made it look like he had killed something, blood everywhere and it was done badly also...so, yes, if you use it in a way that only enhances the horses and a link back please.

Yes we do. Had no babies this year. Took a year off from years of breeding. So much work!

She's beautiful--that's so sad about those 2 years, poor baby. She looks wonderful now, though, a real testament to the care she's getting! :)

I actually said, "Wow," outloud when I saw this.
This picture really shows how beautiful and graceful horses are.

What breed is she?

Thanks, I'm so glad you liked it. She is a Cleveland Bay, they are the "English Warmblood". With less than 600 in the world they are more endangered than the panda. This mare is 4 and has so much play in her. I'm glad you feel I captured some of what she is.

She actually had some hard times in her first 2 years, so as a 4 year old, she seems to fit better with my 2 year old...so she is a joyful baby still!

It's amazing how well horses can bounce back. I worked with abused horses for a while and they tended to be the sweetest creatures!

Basically, her owner died and her care was minimal and she was kept in a very small inside area for almost 2 years as things got straightened out. she was a late bloomer, and oh has she bloomed. you are very right...they appreciate their new life so much. She has been with us for 2 years now.

It is so sad when an owner dies with no plans for the pets. I have a parrot that may live for the next 40 years. She has a 'god parent' in case something should go wrong. I'm glad you were able to give this horse a second chance!
